Re: Liability and redress negotiations - financial security
The Group of the Friends of the Co-Chairs on Liability and Redress in the Context of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety is holding its 3rd meeting in Kuala Lumpur from 15th to 19th June 2010. The negotiations on liability and redress for damage resulting from transboundary movements of living modified organisms (LMOs) have made some progress. However, some outstanding and contested issues remain to be resolved, among them on financial security.
