Climate change and its impacts have received increased attention following the publication of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fourth Assessment Report, and due to the UN’s climate change meetings currently underway in Bali.

The following article from the Institute of Science in Society, UK examines the potential of organic agriculture in mitigating climate change. Some of the benefits described include reduced energy use, lower greenhouse gas emissions and greater carbon sequestration with organic agriculture.
